The aesthetics of zero waste.
Jaime devoted the first twenty years of his career to functional metal work in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. Since 2006 he is focused on the creative reuse of silverware, metals, stone, wood, glass, electronics and LED. These materials, in combination with found objects, give way to installations, sculptures, figurines, jewelry, and outdoor décor. Jaime’s focus on recycling art honors new beginnings and the aesthetics of zero waste. His work reveals sophisticated craftsmanship aimed at the exhaustion of all the possibilities in re-utilizing materials. In Jaime’s hands, each residual crack, splinter, or collapsed element derived from the process of art making lends itself to a new beginning. His work is regularly shown in art galleries throughout Southern California.
